  1. If the Hitler comparison is reasonable, then why isn’t he calling for NATO air power in Ukraine? Why aren’t Germany in full war mode?

Was the lesson learned from WW2 that we should try to not escalate?

  2. Putin is like a useless oligarchic version of Hitler. He couldn’t even improve the standard of living in his country unlike hitler.

  3. Good!

But I wish the EU and NATO would do more about it!

  4. In an ironic twist of fate, I’d compare the Israelis closer to Hitler. For years now they’ve been building a certain reputation that a lot of people seem afraid to call out

  5. All that death all that suffering just to be compared to a person who couldn’t even conquer a nation way less powerful than his own!

  6. Hitler created the Autobahn and Volkswagen at least, what did Putin do before starting a war?

  7. Putin himself compared his actions to Hitler’s actions. Check his Tucker Carlson interview

    >**Vladimir Putin:** In 1939, after Poland cooperated with Hitler — it did collaborate with Hitler, you know —Hitler offered Poland peace and a treaty of friendship and alliance (we have all the relevant documents in the archives), demanding in return that Poland give back to Germany the so-called Danzig Corridor, which connected the bulk of Germany with East Prussia and Konigsberg. After World War I this territory was transferred to Poland, and instead of Danzig, a city of Gdansk emerged. Hitler asked them to give it amicably, but the Poles refused. Still they collaborated with Hitler and engaged together in the partitioning of Czechoslovakia.

    >**Tucker Carlson:** May I ask… You are making the case that Ukraine, certain parts of Ukraine, Eastern Ukraine, in fact, has been Russia for hundreds of years. Why wouldn’t you just take it when you became President 24 years ago? You have nuclear weapons, they don’t. It’s actually your land. Why did you wait so long?

    >**Vladimir Putin:** I’ll tell you. I’m coming to that. […] So, before World War II, Poland collaborated with Hitler and although it did not yield to Hitler’s demands, it still participated in the partitioning of Czechoslovakia together with Hitler. As the Poles had not given the Danzig Corridor to Germany, and went too far, they pushed Hitler to start World War II by attacking them. Why was it Poland against whom the war started on September 1, 1939? Poland turned out to be uncompromising, and Hitler had nothing else to do but start implementing his plans with Poland.

  8. > Pistorius references Nazi annexation of Czechoslovak territory

This was Crimea in 2014. The current war is morel like Poland in 1939 already. But something tells me Pistorius selected this very deliberately. Every tiny chance is always used to push the conversation into a bit more pro-Russian angle, even if it means saying “Hitler 1938” instead of “Hitler 1939”

  9. Ukrainians: yes! Bomb them with insults till they capitulate! No need for actual bombs!

  10. Tough words from a country that raided a conference and deported a person who was trying to simply attend that conference.

  11. I mean. He invaded another country and is waging genocide against it. Yeah, he’s pretty close.

  12. Lets hope Putin wont go full Hitler by starting ww3 for the lulz before dying of ass cancer…
