Hello,
I’m sorry for my lack of Icelandic (closest I can speak is Norwegian!) but I’m a football writer with a very keen interest in Nordic football (everything from Norway to Iceland to the Faroes) and I recently wrote this nostalgic piece about the record-breaking success of ÍA in the 1990s. I interviewed several people from in and around the club, so if you enjoy reminiscing (or indeed remembering how miserable ÍA’s constant success made you) then you might enjoy this read.
Tak!

I grew up in the KRÍA rivalry. 1996 still hurts.
You should post this to r/boltinn and r/akranes
This is awesome.
I am from Akranes and remember these great times fondly.
Thank you for doing this 🙂
Great article, kudos
Ah the nineties, the last town my hometown was good at football. Good, god damn times!
