  1. The rooftop pool water is spilling over during the quake. However, the building withstands a 7.5 Richter scale earthquake. It speaks volumes about Taiwan's readiness for disasters.

  2. The 182 M tall Latin American Tower in Mexico City is built to resist an 8.5 earthquake on the Richter Scale. In 1985 the tower withstood an 8.1 earthquake! The 7.1 earthquake of 2017 only broke a few panes of glass.
