A total of 65 horses have now died at Aintree since 2000
If they ban horse racing I’d accept it but half the people wanting this banned will wear make up and use Products tested on animals. Or eat meat or both. Can’t pick and choose
A Tory councillor here in Ipswich said protesters actually must hate the horses because a) they scare them, and b) if there were no races, the horses wouldn’t exist.
Utter moron.
Fewer than 3 horses per year, it’s sad but not outrageous.
Important to remember that the horses enjoy racing and get to live their absolute best lives because of it. They get the best food, accommodation, care and training that money can buy. Accidents do happen to a small minority of the horses and it’s very sad but that’s life. What is the alternative?
Ban horseracing? Then what? You think stable owners will just keep breeding them? Of course not. The alternative is that the next generation of those beautiful racehorses is never sired in the first place.
I usually work the Grand National every year doing medical on the race course by the fences, AMA!
Missing it this year unfortunately. Not a fan of the sport or betting, but it’s a good three days being out and I get to drive a 4×4 around the race track.
Simple… Shoot all of the protesters or send them to the front lines in Ukraine or let the horses trample them down… Lots of solutions to the problem when you start treating them like the nuisance they are
From the headline, I wasn’t sure if it was about safety for the horses or to stop ISIS. Who are calling for attacks on the UEFA Champions League.
