Both the Alpha and the Delta variants were imported into Portugal from the UK. The Alpha variant led to the worst Covid death rate in Portugal worldwide. Yet British tourists keep on coming ignoring Portuguese rules about distancing and mask wearing. I really wished they would stay away.
