Well he wouldn’t be any better, a safeish but uninspiring pair of middling hands and let’s face it, who would want it? The current Labour Party lacks bravery, vision, direction and fire.
“Plots”?
Plans? Considers? Wants?
No, plot sounds more salacious eh
I don’t blame him seems to me that all the potentially good leaders (like Andy Burnham or Dan Jarvis) don’t want the job.
He has real working class roots, grew up on a council estate, went to a comprehensive school and then on to study at former polytechnic (thanks Wikipedia). No independent or grammar school for him.
If Angela Rayner doesn’t get the job then it would be the biggest mistake Labour have made since voting Ed Miliband as leader instead of David
Considering how every leader since Blair has been treated by the media, can you blame him? He already gets unnecessary flack for inheriting the job from Johnson and having to fix his mistakes. Why would he want to be blamed for everything ‘the previous Labour government’ or Corbyn did?
Shame. Khan would be just the man to beat Sunak in the next general election.
Get fucked, times up, new generation watching you dogs every move. Conclusion, no fukin chance!
I thought he was a Conservative this whole time. Wow.
Fuck Sadiq Khan. Wanker. Cannot stand the man. Banning Uber from London showed he’s clueless.
I don’t think a Pakistani would get into the PM job. The amount of racism I see/hear towards Asians has skyrocketed in the last few years.
I mean – there’s barely any opposition to Khan. You have to wonder why the Tories manage to pick such terrible candidates.
The important part…
> I’d be able to do more with a Labour Government, with a Prime Minister in Keir Starmer, as the Mayor of London. The idea of being the Mayor of London when you’ve got a decent Government who is not anti-London supporting me doing my job is really exciting.
I would not want to be the labour leader either. You get the blame for them losing once the in-fighting starts and they blow their chances again.
Both labour and the tories are out-dated parties past their prime. The only difference is the Tories stick together.
