The request to build the aforementioned cathedral was made by around 600 Germans that lived in the area. Even though it was built earlier it was first used for the service as late as 1911. During the Soviet era it was remade to be a library. Nowadays it’s a philharmonic (concert hall for classic music) and the only gothic building around.
