This little guy was born in captivity yesterday. The Mum was rescued in September and has just given birth! We didn’t know she was pregnant 🥰 That is a 5p coin. (My mum and stepdad turned the family home into a bat hospital 28 years ago).

7. I rescued a horseshoe bat when I was kid, it had got caught on a barbed wire fence. My mum took it to a bat hospital and they said it would probably be fine and returned to wild when fully healed. One of my proudest moments when I was a kid.

12. Baby bats used to fall through the clapperboards of mum and dad’s house regularly, we hand raised many bats and was so rewarding!
