Just wanted to share this with fellow Londoners so people are aware of an elaborate and sophisticated of personal financial fraud that I experienced last night. “Amex’s Terminal Technical Team” called me on a Saturday night advising me that I have been flagged by Amex as the “highest level risk” to bank fraud and they are collaborating with the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) to ring fence all my monies. They even offered me a new sort code and account number on a digital platform (transfer rise) to safe keep all my monies. Long story short, after an hour on the phone on a few consecutive calls, it became apparent it was part of an elaborate and sophisticated fraud.
For all to be aware of phishing calls!

How was it sophisticated? I mean Amex is either a charge card or credit card. Why would Amex know or care about any other accounts you had?
