Her project took the form of a diary and aimed to capture the experience of living with war as a daily reality: “I want Ukrainian photography of this war to be remembered as a first-hand narrative. It’s easy to lose sight of the human aspect on a larger scale. I try to tell the story of an individual in an authentic way,” said the photojournalist.
Nice socks!!! 😀 Lol! Stay safe!!!
Massive congrads on this side. As a journalist who has been in a war-zone, I know what its like, it takes guts.
There is that same anxiety in her eyes that I felt from every Ukrainian who spoke to me about what they did on 24/25.2.22. Wars are terrible things and never is there a more disrupting moment for everyone as when it suddenly begins.
Well done Julia.
I spend many years as a photojournalist but I couldn’t handle recording such confronting scenes.
All I see in these pictures is pain. Maybe that is just my empathy kicking in 😔
So many lives lost and destroyed… fuck Putin and fuck every Russian that supports his war
🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🥰 👍👍👍🥰 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦
US, we should be ashamed of our government for its inability to aid Ukraine to the best of our nation’s ability, while giving weapons hand over fist to Israel, who will use them to commit the same sort of atrocities these photos represent. Don’t forget Netanyahu blocked Ukraine from acquiring Iron Dome technology because he is scared Iran could somehow get a hold of it.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
These aren’t all that good. Passable. The fact that she’s using the conflict as some diary for herself screams incredibly self-absorbed.
