I was wondering what are those lines on the ground. I tried to do a google reverse image search, but it gave me no similar results. To me, they look like that they are made of brass. Does anyone have a clue what they represent, or what is their purpose?

Some kind of public art, perhaps referencing something local. They look to me like the outlines of churches.
