Fox continues to mislead about grocery inflation. Following a March 2024 inflation report slightly above expectations — but which showed zero inflation in grocery prices for the second month in a row — Fox personalities misleadingly portrayed food prices as being on the rise.

  1. Ok. So if there’s “zero” inflation, why did the balogna we buy jump 29 cents in less then a month, the bread is up 10 cents, at Ollie’s the steak seasoning was up by 50% and I’m positive there’s other price jumped that happened?

Edit: forgot mention that the balogna was already up 20 cents compared to pre-greedflation and the bread had already gone from 88 cents to 1.32

  2. Man the propaganda on this sub is incredible. Economy is lousy and inflation is still high on everything that actually counts (food, shelter, utilities, & gas).

  3. I’m enjoying deflation thanks to growing my own food

the hedonic adjustment is massive thanks to the much higher quality of the food I’m eating now

  4. Even if there’s ‘zero’ inflation, we still got enough of it over the last few years to continue to talk about it. It won’t be a dead story until prices stabilize and salaries start to catch up to the “new norm.”

  5. Brought to you by trash leftist rag Media Matters.

You don’t hate shitty journalists enough.

Food prices *are* on the rise and would be even if inflation was under expectations, but these retards don’t know better because they don’t know what inflation even *is*.

  6. You can report 0 or 100% inflation, what matters is what people pay at the grocery store.

People take their real life experience as the measuring stick on these kind of reporting.

  7. classic media matters talking about fox. Birds of the same feather, really

  8. NBC, CBS, CNN, ABC continue to tell the masses how great the economy is dept the bottom 70% suffering.

  9. Food prices seem to be coming back down near me, but only in the way that there are better sales lately than the past few years. Still though they’re damned high. A box of granola bars today was like 9 bucks for 8 bars.
