He said it doesn’t make sense to the interviewer questioning him. I don’t see that as admitting it doesn’t make sense for Sununu himself:

If you think this is bad, you should hear his interview on Julie Mason, where he continues to say that his state Motto is “Live free or die”, while he’s talking about supporting taking freedom away from woman! It was truly comical!

There is no reason to expect any kind of logic from those that support Trump.
He and his run-of-the-mill supporters have invented an alternate reality and they like it there. They’ll do or say anything to keep their self-delusion intact. Any admission that they’re wrong on anything would be an admission that they’ve been duped by a complete fraud.
Assholes like Sununu just want to maintain their grasp on whatever little bit of power they think they may have, and are shameless and brazen enough to indulge the rubes to keep it.

Watching this live was a trip. Almost as good as watching Nancy Mace explaining how as a sexual assault victim she has no trouble supporting someone held liable for sexual assault.
Sununu went full embarrassment mode. He found out that there are no normal Republicans left so his VP aspirations under Haley vanished. And now he’s eating Trump traitor ass.
That’s because Sununu is a giant sack of shit. The man craves power and for that reason alone, he should never have it again.
