Is that a reflection on our binge drinking culture?
We wouldn’t be fond of drinking, but when we do we go at it awful and hard.

God damn Portugal. Over a fifth of adults drink daily. Even if they never binge drink that’s a crazy amount
1.6% in Poland is bullshit I’m sure of it
No one can afford a pint these days sure

But in our defence, when we go at it, we got at awful n’ very hard
Sure I never drink alcohol, I only drink Guinness.
that’s only the ones that would admit to it
When doctors ask how much people drink on a day/week basis..they usually double it
Finland left the chat
I know people who say they don’t drink during the week and have cans every night.
They don’t count it as drinking if not at a pub.
Ah sorry lads, that’s probably me dragging the score down. I used to drink too much so now i’m making up for lost time by drinking minus amounts.
Ah we’d be bimge drinkers. We can go weeks without touching the drink, but when we go at it jaysus we’d drink the Atlantic dry hai.
Who could afford a life of pintmannery with the price of a pint these days?
It’s too expensive to drink in Ireland these days
I reckon 13.4% of Spain’s intake is actually just Brits.
Think Ireland has gone more the cocaine route now
We binge drink.
I lived in France and some of the older generations are huge drinkers. Dinner preceded by a little ‘apéro’ a little glass of wine or two, et a little digestif… and maybe a glass at lunch … 6 hours of dinner in the garden at the weekend and several bottles of wine disappear mysteriously… especially down the country. They’re great craic though. You’d be outside on a summer’s evening eating great food, chatting, laughing, jokes, wine, singing until way into the night. You wouldn’t get totally inebriated but you’d be very merry!
That being said a lot of them go on to a ripe old age, but it think it’s about the diet, weather and relatively active lifestyle tbh and probably in spite of, rather than because of the smoking and drinking.
The younger generations are a little less likely to drink wine as frequently but more likely to binge at the weekend. There’s a lot more awareness of it though, especially a big crack down on drunk driving which used to be really problematic – mostly associated with lots of wine at dinner. It used to be crazy down the country, certainly where I was.

They banned wine at *primary school* in 1956: https://youtu.be/n_Ez2RMjwuA
This is brilliant news but anecdotally I feel it’s inaccurate
**”I wouldn’t be fond of drinkin’ but when I go at it, I do go at it awful and very hard. I do have forty-five pints in in about 2 hours.**
OP having a nightmare here. This study points to exactly what Paddy Losty preached.

PORTUGAL!!!🥂🥳🎇🎆
YouGov did a poll in the UK in 2022 and found that 6% of Britons drink daily. The usual pinch of salt applies.
1)https://yougov.co.uk/society/articles/41662-part-six-alcohol-consumption
I can’t afford to drink more, lower the cost of drinks and I’ll raise that percentage myself
This poll should be renamed “percentage of adults that have wine with dinner”
1) sure it’s too expensive
2) too many calories, everyone is on the bag now.
Paddy lost famously didn’t drink very often
2.6 %, I don’t believe that for a second
