6. Utter barbarism. Punctuating attacks to take out aid workers is a tactic used only by mass murderers and psychopaths. Brutally effective, hamstrings the enemy’s ability to replenish casualties and rebuilds, but still a ghoulish tactic. I hope to see Putin swinging in the Hague.

13. Since the Ukrainians do not have sufficient fire power or even reasonable defensive capabilities this may well increase. However, some EU countries have stepped up to the plate including Germany and are sending some patriots batteries.

    In the interim, Ukrainian civilians should evacuate from targeted areas or the front lines and return later. Zelensky has announced a new counteroffensive in anticipation of assistance from EU and perhaps U.S. as well when congressional infighting resolved.

    At that time the displaced population can return, under circumstances such as these a strategic retreat like this is not a loss.
