It’s Monday!
April is firing on all cylinders and we’re halfway through the month already, squeaking closer to those nice long summer days.

Except if you’re down under, like me, where we are squeaking closer to freezing our knackers off.

Let’s kick it off for Monday though, come on I. And have a chat – what’s happening with your day?

  1. The rain is coming in sideways with the wind. I don’t really want to go out in it but I have to.

  2. Had a lovely two weeks off and now back to the grind so feeling utterly miserable but I will be fine once I get back into the swing of things.

    Priorities this week are nailing down my contract as of September (I’ve been told verbally I’m getting a promotion but still got nothing in writing and I trust nobody in these things) and reorganising my to do list so I know what I’m doing medium term.

  4. Starting the day off with a huge thunderstorm and biblical rain after the lovely weekend. Very on the nose, Monday. No need for that.

  5. I’m not a massive football fan, but I’m starting to believe that Harry Kane might be jinxed after he joins a team that usually always wins the German league, and they lost it

  6. This damn cold is finally coming to an end with just a slight phlegmy cough lingering on.

    Cooked a rotisserie chicken yesterday and had some of it with hash browns, corn on the cob, Yorkshire puddings and gravy. Still have enough left over for at least 3 meals, so that’s most of this week sorted for food.

  7. Well, I was going to the office today however there’s a hole and barriers at the end of my drive right now.

    The council resurfaced the path last week, and water was seeping through the tarmac. Fair play to the water company though – we called them on Friday and they fixed the leak yesterday. Better than I expected tbh.

  8. Rain hasn’t started yet where I am but I will likely get caught in it at some point as I have to do my big weekly stock count at work. It requires me leaving the store at some point to go to the stock room and count the stock in there.

    Not happy about the cold, had to get the winter jacket back out this morning. Yeah I look cool because it’s a leather jacket, but I was looking forward to giving it a good clean with saddle soap, giving it a good coating of balm and putting it away to signal the start of summer

  9. Four weeks of sickness, still coughing though most of all other symptoms are gone.

    Chasing up the council about planning permission, as our extension plans have been dragging on for 6 months now, and finishing up a knitted sweater for my godson.

    Waiting on a start date for my new job!

  10. WFH today, so won’t get out of bed until 8.29 to start at 8.30. Just woke up, and my puppy jumped in bed so looks like we’ll be cuddling until then.

  11. I was supposed to be going to work but I spent the night projectile vomiting, so instead I will lie on the sofa with a bucket and perhaps watching Fallout.
