2. Ukraine is so desperate, i don’t think Poland will risk a direct escalation with Russia for Ukraine, redditors who are saying that Poland is itching for a fight against Russia are delusional as always.

3. I mentioned as much a few days ago in another thread.

   It would be an easy to justify measure, also for Romania btw. Since Russian missiles / drones have violated their air space in the past, they could station AA systems within their own borders and shoot down Russian missiles / drones that come too close in order to prevent another airspace intrusion. As that would happen over Ukrainian air space, Russia does not really have any good reason to complain. Fears of involvement in the war are overblown. Just remember that Turkey shot down a Russian jet and nothing happened. Russia will not do anything about unmanned drones and missiles.

4. Why didn’t they use it during previous air space intrusions? I mean for their own protection? 🤨

8. I don’t think the range of Patriots is all that long, but it would prevent Russia from pulling any weird backtracks near the border and therefore give Ukrainian air defenses and easier time of it.

   Hell, at the start of the war Russia hit a staging ground for foreign volunteers just inside Ukraine. That could have been defended.

10. They didn’t shoot down a missile that spent 39 seconds within Polish airspace. They could, but the past experience implies that they probably wouldn’t.

    I dont understand why the Ukraninian FM would even suggest this. If I didnt know better, it’s almost as if they really want other countries in this war.
