6. So John Oliver has been suspiciously quiet about the Thomas deal expiring a few weeks ago. Part of me is hoping he took the deal or some form of amended deal and both sides have agreed to hold off on announcements now. Extremely unlikely thats the case, I know. But I wish

13. Really hope john roberts sees how shockingly corrupt his court looks and made him recuse himself but that would require a republican having morals.

14. This is insane. He just decided to not show up to oral arguments about whether or not supreme court justices are allowed to accept gifts.

    Is he protesting the arguments? If he was ill or injured or something the press would know about it. Just didn’t show up? And he’s accepted more gifts from wealthy Republicans than any other justice.

18. A generous reading of this is that Thomas has been told by Roberts he must recuse without having to say it publicly.

    Probably not what is happening here but one can dream.
