That’s a little thing called innovation Dino boy.
Yeah, slow down progress! We can’t keep up! How do I attach this to an email?
I can sorta get this cuz I want an E-vehicle, but cannot commit due to the limited infrastructure. I have faith that it will eventually align.
I’m inclined to agree with them. The charging infrastructure wasn’t/isn’t in place and driving patterns are definitely a factor when determining EV/Hybrid/CE vehicle choice. I think the early push has created a certain consumer sentiment and much of the ‘hype’ that drove the initiative has faded.
Early adopters often deal with the challenges of new technology and the reality is that early technology is often quickly surpassed in later iterations which can lead to buyer’s remorse. I know many people who had an interest in an EV but it didn’t fit their driving patterns or they were waiting for the technology offering to mature before making such a significant investment.
However, I do understand that the push did drive improvements in the technology. Most people just want a reliable vehicle at an affordable price while getting as many features as possible. The whole drama of EV vs CE vehicles was just another divisive team sport drama for those who don’t have more important things to do with their time.
I think it’s more that people don’t properly assess their own usage and needs. There is a lot of unwarranted range anxiety when the data clearly shows most people would be fine with current EV range. There is an emotional attachment to road trips but for many people, they just don’t drive them.
Now certainly not everyone right now should get an EV, there are absolutely users that it’s not the right option at this point, but realistically we have to begin the transition, not try to make it happen all at once. As more people get them, more infrastructure makes fiscal sense. Most companies no longer plan long term, so wanting them to get a network ready before anyone is there to use it just isn’t going to happen.
I think right now the infrastructure isn’t there, plus the standardization of chargers.
I feel right now the big focus should be on plug-in hybrids, affordability, and building out the infrastructure.
The US is producing more oil than ever boys, and yes, you handled it all wrong. If you had focused on battery tech since your companies made the first battery cars in the early 1900’s we would all be driving battery cars and the ICE would be a dinosaur. Shame on you and your shilling faux news.
Too fast yes, but only because it was TOO LATE! General Motors EV1 built an EV people loved back in 1996-1999.
These types also said something similar when Japan started selling their fuel efficient small cars in the US 40+ years ago. They are behind the trends as usual.
They look like the steam era ended too soon for them.
Two old guys and Fox Business as the source. All of that absolutely checks out.
The real irony here is that these guys want to hold on to the past while simultaneously knocking on death’s door. JHC…
This is because the industry tried to kill the transition for 30 years.
Oh..no..nope…..let’s blame the evil China for developing a better EV industry…
I mean..why do they think little Elon is there for if not to purposely block any developer innovation for EV…good old oil barons predatory practices invading and ransacking other countries resources won’t go to ‘waste’…..right?……🤭
Americans workers underpaid, undertrained and literally under the truck?………well…they should build their own country….the free of consequences market far right extremists libertarians bros proudly acclaim…
Lmao my profitttsssss lmfao
