It’s actually pretty easy to do:
1) Galicia declares independence.
2) We offer a union to Portugal and the rest of Spain, but without the other knowing it.
4) Spain and Portugal suddenly discover that they are now together, and the capital somehow moved to Santiago.

I don’t know if you have been following the latest developments in Spanish politics (I totally understand if that’s not the case) but we can’t, for the life of us, stop tearing each other apart based on a myriad of issues.
“Left” and “right” are at each other’s throat week after week, polarizing more and more an already divided society. Language is viewed as a political tool rather than a cultural expression that should be respected, promoted and appreciated it. (Imagine forcing Pedro to learn Portuguese) And parts of the country are openly asking for independence.
With all due respect, this is nothing more than a wet dream in the mind of a few delusional portubros and spanish “nostálgicos”.
