They’ll never get it…

  1. No its like if mercedes spends a lot of money on their car and then red bull loses to haas but still blamed mercedes for no reason

  2. So apparently the entire reason we have this squad of players is entirely down to 12m from Etislat and 65m from Etihad.

Somehow we have the cheapest and most expensive squad ever. Just think we managed to buy the league with 72m what an absolute bargain.

When will the goalposts stop being shifted? First we brought the league because we had more money, then it turns out that its only 72m to build a dynasty.

What have all these other clubs been doing with their money all this time??

  3. Very well put! This whole issue is a “pull the ladder up after you” problem from the historic clubs. We spent the money in the past and so it is fine. You can’t spend the money now though because that will make the historic clubs less relevant!

  4. “Waaaa you can’t have these players!!! They’re supposed to play for the same old 3 red teams 😭😭😭😭😭”

  5. But dont Liverpool Fans and Arsenal Fans claim that thier players are much better. Like Saliba or Van Dijk over Dias or Stones. Or that Odeegard is better than De Bruyne. Saka is better than Foden. Szobo is better than Silva. Trent is beeter than Walker. Rice is beeter than Rodri. I dont get it. According to most Liverpool and Arsenal fans are players are worse, if that was the case we should not even be close to these two. But now that we are ahead they say its because of our players.

This is my response to another idiot scum on soccer sub.

Arguing about “cheating” for spending more than the bullshit “rules” set by the cartel clubs instead of ACTUAL spend is the single dumbest shit I’ve ever heard.

That’s same as saying Leicester winning the PL by spending less than clubs like manu is considered cheating and that’s why it is absolutely unimpressive. Because based on the “rules” and the history the club, Leicester are only allow to spend 1/8 of manu’s budget, so winning the PL with a whopping 1/4 of man’s budget is cheating and absolutely unimpressive. And somehow manu winning the mickey mouse cup by “spending within the rules” of 1.4 billion pounds that are unfairly set in favour of them is good for football. And even worse, manu later ACTUALLY got official convicted of ffp financial cheating!! These people are clowns who are absolutely fucked in the head.

Using another analogy, since financials are often conflated with doping, that’s like saying everyone in a sport cannot use PEDs to complete, except for cartel clubs because they “historically earned the rights to use drugs”. And you are gonna tell me I should be impressed about clubs following this intrinsically corrupted “rule” instead of ACTUAL spend of the clubs??? Let alone the fact that there’s zero evidence of our completely unfounded allegations.

Man City achieved everything imaginable with a much smaller spend than clubs like manu, chelsea, psg who spend MUCH more but NOTHING to show for. That is absolutely impressive by ANY POSSIBLE METRIC no matter how utterly biased or acoustic you are.

  7. City do not have the highest wage earner in Premier League I guess, I am definitely sure they will not have the biggest transfer fees spent on single player in coming ten years.

  8. Title is right, they never will. Because despite being cleared at CAS and potentially being cleared of the 115 charges, in rival fans’ minds City are already guilty. And therein lies the true effect of these legal cases: reputational damage. No matter how high the club rises we will always have the detractors saying that we cheated. Never mind that other clubs have spent more or sold hotels to themselves or plunged themselves into debt to line the pockets of owners who don’t care. City dared to challenge the hierarchy, and that is forbidden.

  9. I just wasted 30 sec of my life reading this. Damn i need to get off reddit

  10. Isn’t the case against us to value of £40m? You can’t even buy half a Declan Rice for that.

  11. They should retrospectively judge all the finances of all the teams who won the league before FFP rules were contrived. Then deduct 21 points from all the top teams who won that league if they spent more money than those they beat.

Yeah, utterly absurd. But a good companion piece to the OP´s drivel.

  12. I’m a United fan, my brother in law is also a United fan. I like to think I’m a bigger fan of football though, I love my club but I enjoy football regardless of whether we win or lose. I’m always debating this with him, imo FFP is designed to help bigger (historic) clubs, in theory it’s supposed to prevent smaller clubs going bankrupt, but the reality is it’s there to stop smaller clubs being able to compete. United have a higher net spend than city, we’ve just been crap at transfers and wasted money on wages etc. i really don’t get why city are called cheaters when they’ve just played the same hand as the bigger clubs, they’re just smarter at business and have a generational talent in Guardiola. FFP needs a complete overhaul tbh, I don’t know what model would work (but that’s not my job to figure out).

  13. What a shit comparison to make, there’s been loads of cheating in F1 that has then been dealt with by punishments down the line rather than voiding the results the cheating got

  14. Some of them genuinely believe we’ve committed 115 individual and separate violations of FFP.

There’s no reasoning with them. They’ve told themselves we’re getting sent to league 2 and all the trophies are getting taken away since the start of this. There’s no returning from that.

  15. “You broke the rules.”…. created 15 years ago to stop clubs from overtaking the elite clubs in a game that has been around for 140 years…

They’ll tell you it’s to stop clubs from going under and make it a “fair” competitive sport….. you know, like it’s been stupidly fair in the English league for the last 40 years…

  16. To continue the F1 Analogy, City are Braun GP. Didn’t exist before X date, broke/exploited the rules, won everything then got regulated back to obscurity.

If a club goes from relative irrelevance to winning the league in 3 years then subsequently dominating English and European football for the following years, it draws attention.

The fact that clubs like Aston Villa, Spurs, Newcastle…etc haven’t got close in recent decades despite having a much larger fan base nationally and internationally its obvious that City’s money isn’t coming from ‘clean’ or normal sources and rules aren’t being adhered to.

I’m not stupid, I know all clubs bend rules to an extent to gain advantages, but City’s explosion and subsequent domination highlights more than just a bending of the rules but a complete exploit/breaking if said rules.

Also 115 charges don’t come from nowhere, unless you’re a Trump/Boris Johnson type that thinks the establishment is against you at every turn.

  17. FFS, we haven’t been found guilty of spending money on players we shouldn’t have. Until the tribunal has been heard then they can speak if we’re guilty ( I truly expect to be found innocent). But even if we are the stupids of this world will believe there own narrative….

  18. I have always said this, players like Zinchenko and Jesus were only good because they were bought with oil money. When Arsenal bought them with fair money they became bad.

I mean this is the only summary i can come up with, with all the blames that we get

  19. These rules are in place to stop corporations/nations from buying clubs and injecting billions into teams.

This practice ruins the sports on so, so many levels. It’s objectively bad for the sport and that’s not an argument. It destroys the smaller teams, it destroys history and it destroys the value gained when winning a major competition.

If you weren’t City fans you’d be calling yourself cheaters. The bias and delusion is insane.

  20. They get it; they just don’t want to see clubs like City rise because they know that will translate into less success. Most football fans would have their teams win the league on a yearly basis, like Bayern did for a decade. If City turned out to be a flawed project like many in the past, people literally wouldn’t give a rat’s ass about City. City is and will always be a problem because we win too much, and if not City, then they would have found another club to target because that’s how most average football fans and people behave. They won’t take accountability because blaming someone else makes them feel at ease with themselves. It’s the whole “we couldn’t have done more, they won because they cheated” attitude. Neither of the Big 6 have any right to complain about this, they all buy world class players for insane fees. You lose because you’re not good enough, simple as. And this isn’t just about being good enough on the pitch.
