  1. Disgustingly also, professor psychiatrist Patricia Casey is also staunchely against abortion. Very worried for any woman who would ever meet her who experiences emotional distress who had an abortion or who is thinking of having one.

  2. Unreal what I’m seeing on this tonight. That “nurse” should not be allowed to practice. What a piece of shit.

  3. lmao, “carry around this rock with you now for the weekend”

This would’ve made for a great episode of Hardy Bucks back in the yt days. Buzz and his hippie girl trying to make a few bob running a counselling session out of his ma’s kitchen.

  4. Amazing how immoral you can be when you believe you’re doing gods work

  5. Oh fuck me.. this happened to me when I was 18 over 20 years ago! I actually can’t believe it’s still going on 😡

  6. Shit, thank you for posting this. Why are such a bunch of cults able to be registered charities here? They should be *fined*, not given financial support that way. Christ, I’ll ‘feel my rage’ alright, but not as the last lot intended it.

What I’d really like to see, and would found myself if I had the means, is a group or resource telling the truth about the effects of abortion. A way to ram home the message that women do not necessarily experience grief or guilt at all, let alone get tangled up in all the blues these maniacs refer to. I’d guess the majority emerge from the procedure flooded with relief. Psychological after effects of a negative kind are not an inevitable result at all. But building a woman up to expect the worst, like these absolute ghouls are doing, is bound to leave ripples in her mind, as she may be feeling very susceptible while in the early stages of pregnancy. This really has to stop; we’ve got to be more supportive of each other. (How about invading these outfits’ premises and ‘praying’ outside, like anti abortion fanatics do outside clinics? But prayers of a very different sort)

But I’m waffling. Bravo to Prof Keane and Dr Lord: they are valiant searchers after the truth, and clearly excellent advocates for women whom these awful people would mislead and terrorise.

  7. This is what RTÉ should be doing with license payers money. Proper investigative journalism. Bravo to the team involved and fuck the shower of cunts they encountered into the sea.

  8. As much as I try to delete most of my posts afterwards, I’ve left my post on the irishwomenshealth sub talking about a termination and detailing the process for anyone scared or nervous about it. Just to say that myoptions definitely is the business and nobody makes you feel crap at any point in the process.

  9. This is a trend that started in the US with frontline services created to intercept women seeking abortions. It’s shameful but not surprising that it made its way over here too.

Planned parenthood denouncing these organisations in 2007: https://www.plannedparenthood.org/about-us/our-leadership/clergy-advocacy-board/our-values/crisis-pregnancy-centers

Here’s an article about one in Georgia from 2019: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/aug/16/georgia-abortion-crisis-pregnancy-centers

  10. Considering GPs can also refuse to refer you to a gender clinic in this country if you’re a trans person looking for hormone replacement therapy in Ireland, none of this is surprising. There are too many Catholic extremist lunatics in the medical field in Ireland who care too much about themselves and their own views, and don’t respect their patients.

  11. Pro-Life zealots are disgusting. They claim to care about the unborn when they only care about controlling women. It’s crazy how American Pro-Life groups can operate in Ireland. Especially when a lot of them are funded by the American religious right.
