As the title says, how come they added this bit before the flaming hot part? Is it because they are not really that spicy?

More so for marketing if anything
Hey look, it worked.
It’s the same across all the Walkers crisps now because they’ve introduced the “Extra Flamin’ Hot” flavour. Which actually get a bit spicy after half a (sharing) bag, but like most “hot” crisps just taste bitter and overall a bit naff.
I imagine the “Flamin’ Hot” part of this name will eventually just become “Sweet & Spicy” and the “Extra” will get removed from the new ones once people get used to them. Assuming the “Extra Flamin’ Hot” survive that long (They really are a bit crap).
I was scared to buy them in case they had changed the recipe! Fortunately is not the case and still as delicious as ever
Noticed this on the Flamin’ Hot Crunchy Wotsits and so didn’t buy them because I thought they’d changed the taste.
Bought the Extra Flamin’ Hot instead and they where horrid.
Spiced and spicy are very different
Has the monster on the packet always looked like that? I’ve just realised I’ve never paid any attention to what he looks like.
For a few years now all the big crisp manufacturers have realised that sugar is a relatively cheap ingredient, especially compared to spices. So they load up all the flavours they can with it. We should boycott to stop them really, it’s ruining our teeth faster than we can afford with the current lack of dental places for free anymore.
They’re exactly the same. I’m guessing they are either introducing a new product line, or the extra hot puts kids off?
Added 2 words to try and distract people from the fact the bags now hold 4 crisps, if you’re lucky.
The new extra spicy ones have a definite beef monster munch essence
They’ve been [rebranded](https://www.betterretailing.com/br/product-news/pepsico-launches-extra-flamin-hot-trio/) because of the new Extra Flamin’ Hot range.
