  1. Am I misunderstanding something or is that only $13.8b for weapons and ammunition that would actually go to Ukraine?

  2. Why is “replenishing existing stocks” listed under Ukraine aid. Are they suggesting that we treat past military aid as a sort of debt, and it is Ukrainian military aid to replace those stocks?

  3. I notice the humanitarian aid for Gaza is gone. Good job, progressive caucus. You could have helped pass the Senate bill which included it, but by posturing about Israel, you’ve made it more likely they will get nothing at all.

  4. There’s also about $25B missing from that total sum

  5. The drydock construction is also huge. Lack of shipbuilding capacity has been hamstringing the Navy for ages in terms of refurbishing existing ships and getting new hulls built.

  6. I think I saw a report that Trump said that “we’re thinking about this like a loan.” So, if Ukraine is successful in repelling Russia’s advances, I don’t think NATO will have any problem forgiving the loan. But, if Russia ends up taking Ukraine, does Russia owe the US for the debt that Ukraine incurred?

  7. maybe it’s just me, but it’s about time the west pulled their fucking fingers out and dug deep, giving all the cash and arms it can to ukraine.

Believe me, we do not want russia taking ukraine

  8. Someone explain to me like I’m five why Europe couldn’t come up with funds to buy ammunition from the US? I want the US to make the right decision here but why can’t some of the most powerful countries in the world fill the gap here. Why are we waiting for Mike Fucking Johnson?

  9. Billions of tax dollars that could go to healthcare, education or infrastructure.

  10. How can this be the plan? Senate approved a bill already. Can house change that approved bill?
