Romans called the area Germania, there were Alemanni and Saxon tribes (you missed Saksa as a name in Finland/Estonia), Tyskland is basically Deutschland and is “land of the people”. Niemcy etc refers to being “mutes” because unintelligible language to those in the east.

Doitsu is Dutch, doitsu is german (we get the capital D cause we’re the cooler germans)
You could also add Russian in there. They call the country Германия (Germania), but the language Немецкий (Nemetski) which literally means something like “one who can’t speak” (or something like that).
