Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t France also give citizenship to a Malian cashier after he defended multiple Jews from a terrorist attack?
Edit: It was Lassana Bathily, who in 2017 when his supermarket was attacked by a terrorist, hid fifteen people in the basement, and alerted his friend who alerted the police. He was given French nationality, ~~but not citizenship~~
Edit 2: Ok so Wikipedia claims he was given French nationality, but other news sites claim he got citizenship. Can one of you Frenchmen please explain the difference, if there is one?
