  1. I see what climate changes doing to us, but people don’t want to change so they have to learn the hard way

  2. Shifting baselines are a real obstacle. I think a parallel is a bit like plate tectonics. Climate stress is building gradually enough that most people in the industrialized wealthy nations manage to cope. But just like a fault that reaches a critical threshold, eventually accumulated climate stress will rupture “normal climate, normal farms, normal nature” in dramatic fashion. And after everybody cleans up and and tries to rebuild for the new reality after a few years kids who lived through all of that will turn into adults who think their new reality punctuated by periodic catharsis is normal

  3. The changes that matter will take place at a nation level.

Only through fair treaties and agreements by all will we successfully address the challenge we have created.

Support democracies all over the world. Billions of people are affected. We will literally sink – or swim – together.

  4. I encounter more who simply ignore what climate change is doing to us, attributing wildfires to arsonists, insurance inflation to Biden, etc.. Anything but face the facts.
