Pamela Anderson Joins Liam Neeson In Paramount’s New ‘Naked Gun’ Movie

  1. Leslie Nielsen’s Lt. Frank Drebin was wrong: Cops and women do mix, and with that we have Pamela Anderson joining Liam Neeson in Paramount Pictures’ untitled Naked Gun reboot, which Akiva Schaffer is directing and executive producing for a July 18, 2025 theatrical release.

    The Baywatch actress of 110 episodes has the comedy chops as she’s starred in such big screen titles as Scary Movie 3 and Superhero Movie, which both satirical movies ala the spirit of Naked Gun. Anderson also reprised her TV role of C.J. Parker in Paramount’s big screen 2017 redux of Baywatch which starred Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron and Alexandra Daddario.

    Dan Gregor and Doug Mand wrote the draft script along with Schaffer for Naked Gun. Gregor and Mand also wrote the Primetime Emmy-winning Disney+ movie, Chip ‘N Dale: Rescue Rangers. Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins are producing Naked their company Fuzzy Door. Daniel M. Stillman is EP.

    The movie is based on the Naked Gun movie franchise, which was spurred from the TV series Police Squad! also starring Nielsen. Naked Gun was created by the original architects of Paramount’s Airplane!: Jim Abrahams, David Zucker and Jerry Zucker. During the early 1990s, the Naked Gun trilogy was a domestic cash cow racking up over $216M. Similar to Airplane, Naked Gun was revered for its outrageous parody, ridiculous set-ups and on-screen sight gags (often what was going on in the background was even more hysterical than the action taking place upfront).

    Anderson is repped by Chris Smith of Independent Artist Group, Don Steele of Hanson and Jacobson and Lester Knispel of Boulevard Management.

    Naked Gun is another feather in Paramount’s cap when it comes to bringing comedies back to the big screen, a genre that’s been absorbed greatly by streaming. Recent big Paramount comedies were the Sandra Bullock-Channing Tatum adventure romance, The Lost City ($192.9M worldwide) and Mean Girls ($104.4M).

  4. I know I’m in the minority here but I’m so excited. The Naked Gun movies are some of the best there is and I need that type of comedy back in the green screen. Plus if it sucks, I’ll just use it as an excuse to rewatch the originals again

  5. Akiva Schaffer???? My Lonely Island boy??? Fuck yeah, his movies are hilarious so I have faith in this reboot! Plus he helped on the script so it shouldn’t be too unfunny 👌

  14. Liam is such a perfect choice for this reboot. His dry comedy chops are superb. It also acknowledges a young fans confusion in the 90s for mixing Leslie Neeson with Liam Neilsen all the time.

    This is a late April fools joke, surely?

  20. I could see this honestly being good, there has been a lot of change to cop, spy, and detective shows that the original movies were spoofing. There’s decades of new material and tropes to make fun of.

  23. I really hope he plays it straight and let’s the jokes do the work. That was what made it hilarious is Leslie played it like he was the best detective and the jokes hit incredibly! Steve Martin tried to get goofy with the pink panther which made it not as funny as when Peter Sellers played it as the best detective in the world! Don’t upstage the jokes!
