1. While I have no doubt that things are spiraling out of control, I am concerned that when (if) we switch back to a la nina pattern things will be less drastic than they have been for the past year. That will fuel a lot of nay sayers, and will convince a lot of people who are too busy, lazy, or stupid to pay attention.

   Of course, this el nino could just be the tipping point.
