That’s a terrible plan, they are extremely expensive atm and not even close to being worth the money.

Honestly, I’m not looking forward to a brand new nuclear fission power plant. They’re insanely expensive, cost a lot to dismantle later on, and renewables are getting cheaper every year. The concept for these smaller scale reactors is a lot more interesting though. Less of a commitment to make at this point.
Just keep those two reactors alive FFS it isn’t that complicated.

As someone who is pro-nuclear energy. We have to switch to thorium eventually. India and china are going that route, we should aswel.
Furthermore. Europe has to band together and develop the same fast breeders as russia is doing. We have nuclear waste. We can re-use it.
Nuclear power, supported by renewable energy, is the way forward in both economy as sustainability. All fossil fuel energy plants have to be closed now
