The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health's (RCPCH) report sets out why England and Northern Ireland should follow the example of Scotland and Wales in changing the law to make physical punishment of children illegal.
Mad how the Tories want to ban smoking to protect bairns but still won't support banning physically assaulting them as they trust parents.

Smacking your child is abuse, regardless of the context. They say “my dad did it to me and I turned out fine”, but if you are smacking a child then you are not fine at all. That’s called generational trauma.
If an adult thinks it’s fine to physically punish a child then they should also be fine with themselves getting physically punished as well.
Mad they want to “protect” trans kids from healthcare – but giving them a beating is fine.
Wonder where the “high quality” evidence is that hitting kids is healthy.
Their is a massive difference between a smack and a beating, kids now a days gave zero respect and if you try punish them it works very few times.
