Me and some other guys wanted to make a 5 day vaccation in leuven. 1 hour before the arrival its was cancelled, also it qas already payed.
This is reddit, not booking.com support. In any case, don’t cancel it yourself as this makes you the responsible party.
Definitely contact [booking.com](http://booking.com) first, they (smartflats or booking.com) should reimburse you for what more you pay for the hotel you eventually stay in. Cancelling one hour beforehand feels like a clear cut case to me. Don’t cancel the stay yourself.
As previously mentioned – call Booking and wait for relocation. They should find you something similar or better at no additional costs (you will get reimbursement later, if it will be more expensive option).

Whatever you do, do NOT cancel yourself. Otherwise this will be seen as a cancellation from your part which doesn’t give you any right for an alternative accomodation covered by Smartflats or Booking

I’ve had this happening some time ago. We got a muuuch nicer hotel as all the cheap ones were rented of course. Contact Booking ASAP!
Booking.com customer service is pretty good. Give them a call they’ll help you out.
