It looks like a de-miner at the front of it, and it also looks like the tank is missing a track so it may not have worked as well as intended. The crew must be gone and didn’t care enough to even close the hatch behind them.
The (main?) differences with the T-90M (from the article):

I *think* “T-90MBT” is just the full name of “T-90M” (with “MBT” meaning “main battle tank”). Please correct me if this is wrong.

God, the crew slapped on ERA atop of ERA… I can’t imagine how much more weight it was burdened with all that extra stuff slapped on.
This is an export variant of the T-90A, and with better ERA coverage among other changes. Chances are it’s actually one of the Indian Army ones sent back to Russia for upgrades, or an undelivered one to another customer like Iraq.
I will never get tired of russian tanks exploding. I only wish the EU could step up and make them explode faster.
Tank bingo is progressing well. I keep hoping for some partisans to lob a grenade or two into a T-14 Armata back inside Russia.
I love the smoke blowing out of the barrel. It’s like a really stupid-looking teakettle.
