>Mussilhy said that on closer inspection with his wife they noticed what appeared to be telltale editing marks on the image.
I’d have thought the biggest giveaway that it had been edited was the the fucking tower wasn’t there.
I bet someone would have found it upsetting if it had been though.
Is it upsetting?
Sounds like artistic license to me.
I’m not particularly upset.
I’m sorry but yes my man, a burnt out building is a bit of an eyesore.
But why though?
The tower isn’t visible as a burnt out husk. It has scaffolding around it with tarpauling and a big green heart at the top.
I bet you any money that if they left them in the video somebody else would get fucking offended. People…
It’s a funking graveside where people were burned alone and some idiots are mad that people don’t want to see it lmao.
They could have filmed it somewhere else, or from a different angle. Can’t believe it got to the editing stage without anyone thinking ‘hmmm, this location might cause some issues’.
> “It was really upsetting,” said Mussilhy. “It seems nobody wants to see it any more, that it’s an eyesore. The vibe I feel is that [people] want it gone.”
Maybe this is going to sound insensitive, but wouldn’t it be better if it were demolished and a proper monument put in its place, alongside new homes where people can live and do all the things the people who died cannot?
That doesn’t mean to say we should give up on the idea of getting justice for those who lost their lives either, and I’m sensitive to the argument that keeping the building as a ruin stops it from being forgotten. I also saw suggestions in the wikipedia page from a residents’ group that it be turned into a vertical gardens, which was a nice idea.
The towers were edited out of multiple movie releases after 9/11. I don’t recall that being particularly controversial action – that wasn’t even involving the damaged remnants, it was the fully intact buildings from films completed prior but released after the attacks.
The “occupants” need to take some blame, subletting one bed flats given by the council, which ended up being occupied by 4 or more people, the government wasting money chasing people that didn’t exist, subletting council flats in London needs to be a prison offence
