Speaker Mike Johnson announced Wednesday he is sticking with his plan to put a series of foreign aid bills on the floor, including funding for [Ukraine](https://www.cnn.com/world/europe/ukraine), after facing significant pressure from hardliners.
“After significant Member feedback and discussion, the House Rules Committee will be posting soon today the text of three bills that will fund America’s national security interests and allies in Israel, the Indo-Pacific, and Ukraine, including a loan structure for aid, and enhanced strategy and accountability,” Johnson said in the note.
The loan structure around aid comes after a meeting and news conference with Johnson and former President Donald Trump, [who said in February that the US should stop providing foreign aid unless it is structured as a loan](https://www.cnn.com/2024/02/10/politics/trump-foreign-aid-loan-senate-package/index.html). That weekend, Johnson earned full-throated support from Trump at a perilous time in his speakership.
It’s fucked that trump can throttle aid like that out of office
If Johnson decides to allow aid to get votes on, Democrats are NOT going to side with whack jobs like MTG or Gaetz. They did it once and the new guy was worse so as long as he does this, they won’t go along with ousting him and the right wing whackos have no power

It’s Trump who’s calling the shots and Johnson will do as he says. Don’t forget Johnson just had a knob gobbling trip to see Trump just recently.
Can somebody please explain how Moscow Mike seems to completely detail democratic process?
