I’ve Asian family members who are starting to become rather concerned and in one case is discussing moving to London because of the vibe she’s been getting recently.
There’s been a lot of enabling some very bad stuff over the last few years in particular.
It only takes a small minority of brazen scumbags to really make somewhere very unpleasant and the system here seems to ignore a lot of crime and it’s just escalating.

Until we adopt a no-nonsense response this will keep happening. Under 18 or not, if you do this, you should be incarcerated and (re)educated. The gardaí know who many of these are, they need to act.
This is like a ref in football saying to a player ‘hey now don’t do that again’ after nearly breaking someone’s leg, when it should be a red card. Players will keep doing it because there’s no punishment, and this is the same but not just a game.

Why don’t the so called organisers and usual suspects like dog kicker O’Dwyer organise meetings with local councillors or protest outside the Dail or protest with your vote.
My mixed race brother and sister works in town and has had more hassle than he ever got growing up (the only brown person in the school) during the 80’s

2 Indian nurses living In Coolock were shouted at a few weeks ago and called Paki’s and told to go back to Pakistan they’ve lived and worked here for 6 years ffs

I live abroad but return for a month in the summer. I havent stepped foot in Dublin city center in 12 years. Used to be in there all the time – work, college at night, etc. Nearly always met or observed scumbags whether your waitin for a bus around Connolly Station, walkin along henry st/talbot st. Etc. I know that part of town is notorious but its the center of the city. Tourists walkin about.
Last straw 12 years ago, was i had my face touched by a prick. Walked off with his pal laughing. Think it was piss on his hand. What do you do..
