  1. Germany has just announced the arrest of two Russian-born German nationals accused of planning attacks on military facilities and transport routes in order to sabotage military aid deliveries to Ukraine. Both men, one of whom is known to the authorities for fighting against Ukraine in a pro-Russian militia between 2014 and 2016, acted on orders of the Russian government. They have been indicted with treasonous espionage and intent to endanger national security.

  2. Of all the places not to pull something like this, it’s Germany. These idiots are fuuuuuucked

  3. If they are found guilty, what do you do with such people? Feed them for twenty years?

  4. At the time of writing the article that would have been released on bail

  5. The US trained Ukrainian troops in Grafenwöhr even before 2022 and before German government knew about this. So without agreement. I mean to me that’s all OK, but I wonder why it’s taken so long.. I assume there were (possible) benefits for our Intelligence to monitor those guys instead of locking them up right away.

  6. What does this mean for the rest of NATO and the war? Or will these 2 guys just be put in jail and that’s that?

  7. So that would warrant an article 5 response. Russian spies sabotaging NATO member manufacturing. At some point NATO has to actually act like they don’t like Russia directly fucking with them.

  8. I’d put money on the Russian’s now grabbing a few Germans in Russia, sentence them to death & then offer them up on a swap.

They’ve certainly done this to the US citizens. It’s how their gangster regime negotiates.

  9. The recent spate of russian spies arrested in various countries in Europe (these two in Germany just today’s example) and in the U.S. (not to mention apparent russian involvement in Texas water treatment plant yesterday), issues of election interference everywhere – should indicate clearly to all and sundry that russia is at total war. Conventional war – but certainly all out, including, political, economic and military actions.

  10. Ridiculous how Putin himself can order spies to act within NATO members and nothing will come off it. It’s hollowing the defense act.
