Long story short. I applied for a job. Got an interview. The interview went very well. I got a job offer 2 days later. I accepted the job offer then got the contract sent to me. The contract included that I provide them with many documents, some i have never even heard of. I am an international student who moved to germany just a few months ago. The company I got the job from knows that. After going thru fhe contract and reading the documents they want me to provide. I sent an email asking abt the documents, what they were, how I could get them. Because I only had 2 of the required 5. I had my meldebeschtätigung, Krankenkasse Mitgliedschaft and my Immatrikulationsbescheinigung. I havent gotten a reply back for 3 days now. I usually got a reply the same day. Can they just not answer? Take back the offer? And also what are those documents? I have alr applied for my steuer ID but i dont know what the rest of it means. Would really appreciate any help 🙂

1. IIRC this one you get issued with your first job? It’s been a while.
2. You have to request that via the Buergerbuero where you live. It’s essentially a background check.
3. You should probably already have this.
4. You should probably already have this.
5. Not sure how/when you would get issued a tax number.
For 5 – you can apply at Finanzamt. It is issued relatively quickly.
