  1. Angela Rayner looking like a comedy giant in that picture.

  2. Yeah because the uk wants to pay for the olympics 😂

  3. Starting to feel like empty promises are just getting thrown around now.

  4. The Olympics? Get us a World cup you knob and put Lame in charge

  5. But seriously, what area of London has any space for a new athlete’s village, for example?

  6. I just want my bins to be collected more than once every two weeks

  7. Idiot. More money for his buddies in consultancy. Yet more waste.

  8. I actually think it’d be really cool-whys everyone such a miserable wank?

  9. How about focus on the things that matter

Lower crime – violent crime is going up
Build houses – hasn’t built half of what he said and currently the lowest % of new home builds in the entire of the U.K.!

Ego continues to grow and been caught lying due to freedom of information act.

    Absolute womble.

  10. I’d love a world cup instead (obviously this isn’t in Khan’s power) considering we wouldn’t have to build much new infrastructure to deal with the influx of fans. Shame the middle East seems to have it locked down for the next couple of decades though

  11. Make sure there are no zip wires about if you want the Olympics.

  12. Do we have to have another stadium or can we just use the old one? Honestly wouldn’t mind hosting it if we don’t need many new arenas as that’s what causes the cost to soar. We’d probably need a new one for skateboarding and climbing since those are new but those would be well worth the cost since they’d 100% be used after the Olympics.

I mean it’s pointless anyway because this is a bullshit empty promise that won’t actually happen.

  13. It’s too soon – but tbh the cost would be so much smaller because we have all the venues here already from the last games.

LA got the 28 games mainly cos they were the only people who could put in a sustainable budget friendly bid just reusing venues from 1984 and sites on their university campuses.

In an era when few cities can stomach the cost of the games and justify them to voters I wouldn’t be surprised if the IOC come begging for London to host another one soon. They snapped off Brisbanes hand 12 years in advance. They don’t seem interested in going the fifa route of giving it to Middle East dictatorships or having multi host games so cities which already have all the venues are gonna be the only hosts available to them for a while
