Hello Guys
I am New to these kind of stoves and yesterday a place fell and it broke the glass and the grey round thing. Now I am Scared while I barely make a living and then this happens
Would someone explain how Can I change the glass top and the gray round thing and also is it replaceable

  1. Do you have liability insurance? (Wich is something everyone should have in germany)

  2. There is some serious electricity going through that coils. Please trip the breaker of your stove AND DO NOT USE IT ANYMORE.

    We would need more pictures from the front to tell, but you can probably get a replacement top part (the four plates and everything). You will need an electrician to swap it. Is it your own stove or is it rented?

  3. Needs replacing. Contact your Haftpflichtversicherung ( liability insurance), like someone already commented. If you don’t have that, cost will be on you. Let the landlord know in any case.

  4. You have to replace the whole top unit(Glaskeramik-Kochfeld) as there is no other way of fixing it. Either you look up the model of your stove and try to find a fitting used one and install it yourself or you have to replace stove and the top part which you shouldn’t yourself due to high voltage installation.

    EDIT: Just saw you have liability insurance so call them ASAP.

  5. You need a new “Ceranfeld” that fits into the opening of the current one. Price tag for a new Ceranfeld is around 150 EUR plus fees for installing it by a professional.

    A lot would depend upon your current set-up and whether you got only a Ceranfeld or Ceranfeld and oven combo and whether the oven can function independently without its current Ceranfeld.

    If you got Haftpflicht insurance your Haftpflicht should cover the damage.

  6. BTW, it would be useful if you posted more photos of the oven and the stove top but without all the food and mess. Look inside the oven for a sign with brand and model number.
