Fancied a biscuit and turned out we still had these bad boys from Christmas. Out of date but were unopened and taste bloody delicious. Absolutely smashing life.

  1. I find biscuits don’t go off that quickly as long as they are well kept.

  2. “Best before” is just marketing.

“Eat by” is for food safety.

Those bad boys have such a concentration of sugar in them that they will be ok until next decade

  3. Never mind the biscuit, robins are one of my favourite types of bird to see in a garden.

  4. Shortbread is dangerous for me, I can sit and eat a whole box no problem with a cup of tea.

  5. It’s best before so you’re probably fine , the difference between use by and best before

  6. Just to say, I know the difference between use by and best before – it was just something that made me chortle this morning.

  7. ‘Best before’ is only a suggestion anyway, a bit like ‘dry clean only’, or ‘keep out.’

  8. Had to put my glasses on mistook the bird for a snail because of the angle
