  2. Lower Thames Street is so congested due to the fact that at the time it was the site of Billingsgate Fish Market. It moved to the Isle of Dogs in 1982. The new (-ish) building is not as architecturally impressive but the market is well worth a visit.

  3. What the hell happened to Liverpool Street Station? We’ve been pretty good (not great, there’s some notable exceptions) at conserving train stations. The ones that made it haven’t been spoilt too much, but Liverpool Street isn’t in great shape atm. And with that giant white box that’s to be stuck over it, it won’t be looking much better anytime soon.
