Temperatures soar in southern Spain amid Spring heatwave • FRANCE 24 English

the summer stroll in the middle of
spring in southern Spain tourists in
Ronda took advantage of the unusually
high temperatures to take in the sights
of the picturesque City but for many
it’s a troubling sign of things to come
I would agree I think it’s definitely
the the effective uh climate change it
is unusual um We Have Been to Spain at
different times but for April it is very
unusual that it’s as hot as it is um
mean we we you know we got burnt in the
Sun the other day um so I do think it it
it’s quite concerning you should not be
uh looking for your own good you should
uh uh yeah it’s a good weather but look
what is way to the planet Spain’s
national weather agency says parts of
the country have been 10° C hotter than
normal for this time of the year due
mainly to warm air blowing in from North
Africa over the weekend 65
meteorological stations recorded
temperatures over 30° C with areas
including the Pyrenees the Canary
Islands and Southern Gala even hitting
33 in bilau in the bass country tourists
enjoyed searing heat in a region more
commonly known for cooler weather and
rain I don’t think this heat is normal
in Northern Spain at this time of
year it’s difficult to understand how in
April we can have such intense and
excessive
heat the high temperatures continued on
Sunday for the thir third day in a row
but Spain’s weather agency says they
have finally started subsiding in the
north of the country

Unusually high temperatures of over 30 degrees Celsius have been recorded across the south of Spain over the weekend. The country’s national weather agency said parts of the country have been 10 degrees Celsius hotter than normal at this time of the year due to warm air blowing in from north Africa. While tourists take advantage of the warm weather to take in the sights, for many, it’s a troubling sign of things to come.

  2. Oh brother. I lived in Spain in the mid-1990s. Andalucía, especially around Seville and Cordoba is ALWAYS hot. So sick of this fake news.
