  1. From a Polish perspective, it’s way overrated and gets too much of everything. Wish Poland had less centralized administrative system, more akin to Germany’s.

  2. and let’s keep it like that;). Flats are already too expensive

  3. One of the prettiest cities I’ve ever visited! I was pleasantly surprised 🙂

  4. Warsaw is ok but for example berlin, prague, Vienna, Stockholm and London beats it easily

  5. But it has the same Problem as Berlin for example. Winters are just gray and depressing

  6. It’s probably the only overrated major city in Poland. All others are underrated.

  7. It’s extremely overrated. As a polish person, literally every other big city in Poland (and there’s quite a few) is way better in every regard. Warsaw is crowded, ugly, almost no architecture from before the war, mostly blocks and a few skyscrapers. And the prices you have to pay to live in Warsaw compared to other big cities are abysmal. The best thing it has going for it is the metro system. Better to visit Kraków, Wrocław, Poznań, Gdańsk etc.

  8. Was my first time visiting last year, absolute mega city. We had an airbnb in a high rise at the top floor and the scale of the city is ridiculous, would love to return! Love Poland 🇵🇱

  9. Lots of people who have spent a maximum of 3 days in Warsaw in the comment section

  10. i would say Poland overall is pretty underrated, it´s a country no one thinks about visiting in holidays but it is really worth it

Gdansk is really pretty, Zakopane in the winter is beautiful, Krakow is very cool, it´s a really nice country

  11. Katowice is underrated and it’s not a capital but together with neighbouring cities it’s the biggest metropolitan area in Poland. And there is lots to do here

  12. Compared with Europe- yes it is underrated but in compared to Poland it is so overrated, instead visit Wrocław or Gdańsk

  13. It’s just another big City really. With big comes money and with money some cool stuff but it’s not anything extraordinary IMO.

For something original or for vibes Cracow or Gdansk are much better.

  14. Stalinist architecture is so cool (not Stalin himself though)

  15. I’ve always been pro-Poland/UK/Canada/US/Australia .. they all have the right mixture for me as far as capitalism without extreme insane bureaucracy like Germany. It’s rise is not a surprise to me. They dont shoot down giant corporations nor let the far left or right have the final say in most things. As a gay I feel safe there but they dont have a culture where people are offended on my behalf, the “woke” as some would call it.

Also, being gay in Poland, at least in Warsaw, people dont treat you special as if “I need to care for you extra special because you’re gay” .. you’re just another person they treat nice and the same.

And that’s the other thing, people in Poland are warm. They dont pride themselves on being judgemental nor cold like in Western Europe. In Poland, they wont tell you the blunt truth because it can come off rude and hurtful, in much of western Europe its seen as “honesty” not as you being an absolute cunt.

And I love how American-style skylines are okay in Europe but in America itself “HORROR,” literally puts people here in a manic state lol

    Poland = A+++

  16. Poland is amazing and has so many beautiful place. Warsaw is not one of them though?

  17. Underrated compared to what? Other capitals? Not really. Warsaw is glass and concrete there are many much more interesting capitals.

Poland has nice cities though, Warsaw just isn’t the most interesting one.

  18. Wanted to visit it a few years ago, but sadly one bad man in the government ruined it for me :^(

  19. As someone who temporarily lives here, it’s pretty much overrated, at least compared to other Polish cities

  20. Nienawidzę Warszawy, all my homies nienawidzą Warszawy.

  21. Lived in warsaw for years. Still have my apartment in upper mokotów, cant wait to get back.

  22. I did not know how much i’d love Poland until i visited the country for the first time.

  23. Enjoy it while you can, before the new government makes it a complete clusterfuck.

  24. Warsaw is beautiful in it’s own way.

I love how when the weather’s nice, Polish people pull out their classic American cars and cruise around the city.
