  1. Ireland could do with some National Parks and making nature more accessible

  2. We could do with increasing the size of existing parks too.

  3. Until they fix the degeneration of KNP due to sheep and deer there’s no point in adding another national park.

    I visited all of our National Parks during COVID and they leave a lot to be desired. Either barren wastelands (Connemara and Glenveagh) or Sitka spruce filled eyesores (Wicklow).

    Ballycroy took the biscuit altogether. A giant visitor centre and the only official marked trail is about an 800m horseshoe walk.

    I wish we’d take more pride in public lands.
