Right wing conference ordered to shut down

right-wing political event here in
Brussels on the grounds that the event
could lead to public disorder the Police
Stopped letting people into the national
conservatism conference a local mayor
who sent the police said the far right
is not welcome here former Home
Secretary Suella braan and ex ukip
leader Nigel farage made their speeches
after the police had arrived they
attacked the decision to ban the event
we are up against an evil ideology the
conference is supposed to continue
tomorrow when controversial Hungarian
prime minister Victor Orban is due to
speak organizers tell me they’re legally
challenging the ban and looking at
options for a venue if another one will
take them

A right wing conference in Brussels – addressed by Nigel Farage and Suella Braverman – has been ordered to close by a mayor who said the “far-right is not welcome”.

A Downing Street spokesperson said the decision to shut the event was “extremely disturbing” and Belgium’s prime minister said it was “unacceptable”.
