Let’s not use that rear machine gun to fight off an ambush.
I am not an expert, but it doesn’t seem very effective to send people in with a vehicle-mounted HMG that they won’t stay with when they come under fire…

Pak army had german MG3 mounted and did not shoot a single bullet.
And that thing is a beast
Hard to understand how countries spending so much money on defence can have infantry that don’t fire rounds when ambushed.
Not using the mounted gun, running around like headless chickens..what a total clown show. No wonder India beat their pants off in every conflict..
