We once had similar. Phoned Yodel because they said the parcel was delivered but neither we nor our neighbours had it. They said “according to this it was delivered through the letterbox”.
They were most apologetic when we told them that a 1 metre wide, 100 metre long roll of bubble wrap probably would have been noticeable if it came through the letterbox.
Evri? Evri.
I am shocked to see the Evri logo. *shocked* I tell you.
That’s actually a very smart trick just let him off
Cheeky, but pretty clever. The contrast between the two photos made me belly-laugh, though.
We’re you in at the time?
I had the” We tried to deliver your parcel but nobody was in” and I was standing at door for 30 minutes doing something and there was no sign of anyone. Royal Mail.
Promptly went to sorting office, complained nicely and lo and behold parcel was in depot with no intent of delivery and a weak apology about poor quality staff.
I live in a 2nd floor flat with no lift, I had 2 parcels delivered on Friday at the exact same time, my evri parcel was left outside my front door, my yodel delivery of a meal box kit was just dumped at the bottom of the stairs. Neither driver alerted me to their delivery but at least the deliveries left at the flat doors don’t tend to go walkies like the ones left downstairs.
Casual UK delivery humor!
I’ve had a few who have flat out opened my front door and put it inside.
That’s fraud. And it’s about time they were held to account for things like this.
I ordered an expensive item online a few years ago (£350).
DPD said it was handed to me, despite there being nobody at home.
When I got home it was left on the doorstep. I called to complain and got myself caught up in a lie that it wasn’t there, despite the driver saying it was delivered to me.
They ended up refunding me, which wasn’t my intention, but screw em.
