  1. Every person knew that Cancelo was bad defensively. We signed him for his offensive abilities, not defensive. Problem is that Xavi uses him as a traditional left-back who does both offensive & defensive duties, which is why we have been fucked in the last 2 games.

  8. This guy has always been atrocious defensively and this is why he ran trough so many major clubs and never once found his place.

    This being said, i have no idea why coaches are stupid enough to play him left back. I can see it against weaker opposition if you really want to put on offensive pressure. But against top competition is total suicide.

    Just play him as a WINGER. Or don’t sign him at all.

    At this point this is not on him. It’s on the coaches. You won’t change the player he is. He is mentally inept to play any sort of defense. He’s a bit dumb and loses focus of his position and his mans movement.

  9. For me the absolute fucking ridiculous thing he did tonight was when Vini was running towards Ter Stegen, Cubarsi and Araujo were already on him. But Cancelo in his infinite wisdom LEFT HIS MAN (I believe it was Vasquez) all alone and rushed to “assist” Cubarsi and Araujo on Vini who had a tight angle and the shot was saved by Ter Stegen anyway.

  10. Faye should replace him . 4/3/3 it’s our best formation with kounde as RB . We need a high quality cdm and good LW with play making abilities. And gavi .
