  1. Looks like they have a tendency to eat and do this a lot to maintain their weight.
    They also look like they would be pretty easy to catch, not a lot of cardio “running” going on between them.

    EDIT – I swallowed my pride and read on, the technique employed utilises trust, not agility.

  5. I come from a culture of trying this shit on so it doesn’t bother me. You take the risk and if you get caught then you take the shit.

  7. Restaurants could quite easily prevent this by putting a reserve on a credit card at the beginning of the evening. When asked why, they could say, “because our losses due to scum doing runners are unsustainable”.

    Nando’s had the right idea by charging you before you get your food. I’ve always thought this was great foresight on their part – especially when you look at the amount of people with North Face coats and drug bags who 100% would do a runner from Nando’s if they had half a chance and hadn’t already paid.

  8. Fat, disgusting pigs as well. Total up the amount, fine them and have them do community service in the restaurants they stole from washing dishes and scrubbing floors.

  11. Have pictures of the people they are looking for, have the list of restaurants they dined at so they can build up an idea of the area they live in. Still can’t find them.

  17. In France there is a special charge for that specific type of crime. It is called **Grivèlerie**.
    Is there something equivalent in UK Law?

  19. The police report said the vehicle registered was no use because “many people are recorded as using this vehicle”….

    If found will they be arrested and charged, MAYBE.

    If caught will they be forced to pay money back, NO.

    If charged will they be jailed, NO.

    Is this a deterrent, NO.

    Will they do it again. YES

    Seeing this does it make normal people question why they obey the law. YES, YES and YES

  21. I wish they stopped showing pictures of criminals in papers, it just makes 99% of comments be about race or ethnicity.
